I suggest you focus specifically on a few things that you're really passionate about, and soar with them. And of course, always remember that the more unique they are, the better ;)

And to tell the truth, you can do as much as you want to try to assure yourself an MIT acceptance, but once that app is sent off, it IS just chance. As you've said, there are a ton of applicants who are brilliant and amazing. What you need to do, then, is stand out. Show more than typical intelligence; show your passion, show your personality, show how you shine. As Ben Campbell would say, show something that "dazzles" them =)

Don't burn yourself out before you get to MIT =D You'll have plenty of opportunities to do that here.

-- Vivi, MIT'12
http://crimsonietta.netAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1014726176535823235.post-35534239385045213032008-08-31T00:34:00.000+08:002008-08-31T00:34:00.000+08:00Don't you ever just feel like no one reads your bl...Don't you ever just feel like no one reads your blog?
I've just read your blog and want to wish you luck.
